Thames Cryogenics is a leading designer, manufacturer and installer of liquid nitrogen transfer systems. The company's products include vacuum superinsulated pipework, valves and associated equipment. The company currently supplies equipment to high-tech component manufacturers, food processors, research laboratories and hospitals, as well as industrial companies. With a strong customer base in the UK and across Europe, the company continues to focus on further expansion at home and overseas.
We were introduced to this transaction by both the corporate finance advisors and bankers to the prospective MBI candidate. Following an initial meeting, we were able to issue a detailed written offer, within a few days. We then worked closely with the buy-in/buy-out team and their advisors, helping to negotiate a suitable deal with the vendors of the business. The company was purchased from three of the original founders, with one of the directors investing to form the new management team alongside the incoming buy-in candidate. |
