Herb UK Limited formulates, manufactures and distributes a range of both branded and non-branded hair care products to the consumer and professional hair care markets. The business was founded in 1990 by Stuart Taylor & Stephen Landreth, with the objective of offering high quality, naturally based hair colour products. Whilst adhering to these initial principles, the range has since broadened to include shampoos, conditioners and treatments, alongside the core hair colour ranges.
The business has evidenced rapid growth over the last few years due to its enviable product range and reputation for customer service, resulting in the company now being represented in over 28 countries world-wide. With continuing expansion the company required new premises and increased manufacturing capacity to meet demand. SEGF were approached with a view to financing the ambitious plans for the company.
SEGF invested £250,000 in support of the development of the business. Following our investment, the impressive new facilities incorporate the latest manufacturing technology and allow the company to produce several times the capacity of the previous site. Our investment also provided additional working capital to enable the business to benefit from its increased throughput. |
